How Your Fees Work

We understand the cost of living is really hard on the average Australian right now, and Health and Mental Health Fees can put services beyond some people's reach. Because of this, public health services are stretched, and continuity of care can be very difficult to get. Private services can cost in excess of $300 an hour with some practitioners.

We are trying to help relieve some of the stress of the cost of private mental health supports.

We are a fully private practice and as such, we do not accept Medicare. The average cost of many private practitioners is between $250 and $300 per hour for a regular 50-minute session. The APS recommends $318 per regular 50-minute session. If eligible, Medicare provides you with a $99 rebate—making your out-of-pocket gap fee around $200 per session.

At inMYND®, we have automatically reduced our fee by the Medicare rebate amount for everyone. We do not reclaim the fee from anyone. We have done this as part of a social equity policy to help make mental health care affordable and to remain competitive. All of our fees fall well below the average fee for Medicare-registered practitioners.

We are registered with AHPA (Allied Health Practitioners Australia) and PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia), so you can be assured of competent, ethical, qualified care.

We love our community who support us, and we believe that we must in-turn support you to access affordable high quality mental health care.

Social Equity Pricing Policy

inMYND® has a policy of social equity pricing for existing clients. One of our values is social equity pricing, and we live up to that value. Counselling and training are a great benefit to many people, but often the people who could benefit the most can least afford it. inMYND is bridging the gap in the cost of coaching and training by offering pricing equity plans that benefit members of our community as existing clients. Spaces are subject to availability.

Financial hardship

Many people are in financial hardship. If you can provide evidence of financial hardship, you can receive fee relief of up to 30% on coaching and training.

Contact us to discuss your situation and find out the evidence requirements for financial hardship.

Evidence for financial hardship is based on the same evidence required by Australian Social Services to prove financial hardship. inMYND reserves the right to decide if an application meets the requirements for financial hardship fee relief.

Only one type of fee relief can be used per person, per service.

Charities & not-for-profit orgs.

Charities and not-for-profit organisations can receive fee relief for their staff to attend coaching and training when they provide evidence of their taxation status.

Contact us to find out if you qualify for fee relief.
